Fweethawt
Best statement ever -- "There is no such thing as a religion of peace. There is only our choice; religion OR peace." Enjoy!

♦ ficino ♦
Jesus is a great disturber of the peace. Ironhorse is waiting to enjoy reading the paroxysms of rage that he thinks this little sentence will elicit from the atheists.
ironhorse
Right now I am unable to view the video posted. My wood burning laptop is in serious need of updates. What I did post was my first thought. Jesus is a disturber of the peace. Why? Because he said he came not to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34) This verse is not meant to be taken in a literal sense, but in a spiritual sense. Jesus is a disturber of the peace. Why? Because he said he came not to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34) This verse is not meant to be taken in a literal sense, but in a spiritual sense. The bold and highlighted phrase is what Christians say when what the bible says something that just doesn't make sense, so to protect their brains from cognitive dissonance, they must conclude that he must have meant "spiritually" instead of literally. Jesus brought the sword for a thousand years (see Crusades) and, honestly, if it were legal in our society, I suspect that many Christians would be wielding swords now in the name of Jesus to smite all those people who are "oppressing" Christianity and who are making them have to live and support things that run contrary to what their Bible says.
Guest Furball
Because he said he came not to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men. luke 2:14 Someone is full of shit. Either god sent that heavenly host to lie to the shepherds, or jesus is lying. Someone using the phrase 'a sword', does not have the intention of bringing good will towards man. Someone is full of shit!
