LtJayson Posted April 24, 2008 Share Posted April 24, 2008 Ya know, I have been thinking about Christian music a lot lately. When I was "in the scene" it was all that there was. As a youth pastor, I had to be up on all of the new bands, concerts in the area, etc. In fact, for a while, I even managed a Christian Metal Band in the Ashtabula, Ohio area. They were pretty good...but based their music and songs soley on deliverance ministries (funny that they were nazarene's and the naz's HATE deliverance!) lol... Anyway, I digress...It is ALWAYS on in the car when my wife is with me. It is her car that we take, thus it is her music. Pretty much the rule. I don't mind the music, but the lyrics simply make me sick anymore...they are a constant reminder that I spent my entire childhood, teen years and young adult years in religiosity.
